Daniel Thomas is an Edinburgh trades contractor who spent years building for other people's homes to a standard most clients never see. DTJ Heritage Scotland is what happens when that standard is pointed at a single obsession: furniture and rooms worthy of a serious whisky collection.
The idea is simple. The patience, provenance and intolerance of shortcuts that define great Scotch are exactly the qualities a great cabinet demands. Every joint, panel and hidden door is treated the way a distiller treats a cask — slowly, and once, correctly.

Everything begins with the timber. We source from Highland estates and Scottish woodland, and reclaim oak from retired distillery casks — wood that has already spent a lifetime holding whisky before it becomes a table or a chair.
Being in Edinburgh is not a marketing line. It is where the timber is, where the coopers are, and where the work is done.
