A private whisky room fully panelled in Scottish oak, a wall of backlit bottles, a leather chair and a tasting lectern
Private Whisky Rooms

A room within
a room.

A wall of books. Until it is not. Concealed cellars and private tasting rooms, panelled in Scottish oak and entered through a door that leaves no trace of itself.

The showcase commission

The most ambitious thing we build.

Part cellar, part study, part secret. A private whisky room is a complete environment — joinery, lighting, climate and concealment engineered as one. We build it in Edinburgh, then bring the install team to your site.

Concealed entry

The door that disappears.

The entrance is a full oak bookcase — or a panelled section of wall — hung on bespoke steel-bearing hinges of our own specification. Closed, the gap measures under two millimetres. There is no visible mechanism, no handle, no tell.

Open it with a hidden shelf, a concealed lever or a digital keypad. It swings on ball-bearing pivots, silent and true, and closes flush every time.

Inside the room

Engineered to be lived in.

Scottish oak panelling

Air-dried, fumed, waxed and hand finished in Edinburgh. Floor to ceiling, book-matched, and built to move gracefully with the seasons.

Atmospheric lighting

Warm LED bottle illumination, brass wall sconces and a dimmable central pendant — light designed to flatter the glass and the dram.

Climate control

Discreet HVAC integration holds long-term cellar conditions, so a collection ages the way it was meant to.

Heritage details

Framed distillery maps, hand-lettered bottle registers and a tasting-journal lectern — the small ceremonies of a serious collection.
